What We Believe - Our Tenets of Faith
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. John 3:18; 1 John 4:15; 1 John 5:11,12
- We believe that God raised Jesus up from the dead on the third day. Acts 10:40; 1 Peter 1:20,21; Romans 10:9, Matt. 12:40
- We believe that eternal salvation comes through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 5:9; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 5:13
- We believe that you can only be justified by faith and not of works. Romans 3:20,23,24; Galatians 3:11; Ephesians 2:8,9
- We believe that Jesus died to save sinners, and forgiveness of sin was made possible through the blood that Jesus shed on Calvary. Luke 5:32; 1 Timothy 1:15; Romans 5:8,9,19
- We believe that all believers should follow the Lord in water baptism. Matthew 28:19; Mark16:16; Acts 22:16
- We believe that the Bible is the word of God, full of living power. Hebrews 4:12; John 6:63; 1 Thess. 2:13
- We believe that all believers should live a pure and separated life. Titus 1:15,16; 2 Timothy 2:22; 2 Cor. 6:15-17; 2 Pet. 3:10,11
- We believe in divine healing. Isaiah 53:3; 2 Pet. 2:24; Mark16:18
- We believe the infilling of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, and the manifestations of the Spirit are for us today. Mark 16:17; 1 Cor. 12:1-11; Acts 2:15-18
- We believe in the second coming of Christ. 1 Thess. 4:15-17; Matt. 24:23-27; Mark 13:26,27
- We believe that truth and doctrine in the church must be established in the Bible 2 or 3 times, and at least one of those must be found at least once in the New Testament, as we are a New Testament church. 2 Cor. 13:1; Heb. 10:28; Deut. 19:15
